Case study 04 · Photoshop & poster design
Cybercat Poster
A cinematic poster that transforms a cat photograph into the central character of a neon science-fiction scene.

Concept
I started with a photograph of my cat and imagined her as the lead character in a futuristic film or game. The poster needed to feel bright, theatrical, and cohesive rather than like a photograph placed over an unrelated background.
Visual construction
I built a neon gradient base, isolated the cat, and added purple and blue rim lighting to connect her to a cyberpunk city background. Glowing eyes, light streaks, and the large “CYBERCAT” title establish the tone and visual hierarchy.
Layer masks, Gaussian Blur, Outer Glow, and blend modes helped unify the elements. I adjusted the color and effect intensity until the subject, background, and typography felt like one composition.
What it shows
The project demonstrates character-focused compositing, atmospheric lighting, and poster hierarchy in Photoshop. It is a self-directed classroom concept, not a commissioned film or game poster.
